Admission Policy


SRIS has an admission policy, which is against any discrimination in terms of race, nationality or religious creed. The school admits the prospective students and retains those who are to benefit from the school’s program. The school takes this issue very seriously and observes all potential students carefully, then admits them in order to continue the serious and successful educational process within the school. The school makes every effort to admit qualifying applicants.

Silk Road International School admits students according to the criteria stated below:

1. Prospective students are admitted only on the basis of information adequate for a reasonably reliable assessment of the appropriateness of its program to the applicant’s needs.
2. The school is unable to admit students with special learning needs or learning / behavioral disabilities.
3. Prospective students, except primary beginners and grade 1 level applicants, must demonstrate fluency in the English language. Therefore, except native English speaking applicants, prospective students are required to take an English test prepared by SRIS. In the case of inadequate knowledge of English, applicants can be admitted if they attend a one-year English-as-a-Second-Language class (ESL).
4. Students eligible according to the standards stated above must pay a non-refundable registration fee of US$250 (two hundred fifty US Dollars). This school fee may be paid either in installments or as a full amount.
5. The school offers a scholarship program for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic only, such that at least ten percent of the total number of students in the school will be citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic who are enrolled with reduced school fees. SRIS management, with a view of the financial condition of the family, will determine the amount of this reduced fee of each student.

Prospective students must submit the following documentations:

  • Completed admission form
  • An identification document
  • Verification of date of birth
  • Four photographs
  • A general medical examination certificate; including immunization records in English or Russian
  • Original or notarized copy of transcripts / reports from their most recent school in an English version
